Today on the blog we have Leona Schrock. Leona is a life coach, podcaster, and organizer.
Leona shares her story of her how she left the Amish church, and her emotionally abusive marriage, and started to work on old wounds in order to unleash her voice and her confidence to step into the person God has called her to be.
Now she empowers and works with other women to unleash their voice and confidence to be the person God has called them to be.
So, let’s welcome Leona. I know y’all will just love her.
Tell us about yourself (Who you are, what you do, and a favorite quote).
Hello, I’m Leona, and I’m a Jesus-loving woman.
I’m a mom to 3 incredible humans.
My oldest Matthew James is 20, my middle queen, Amy Beth is 18, and my youngest queen Julia Rose who is 14.
I love helping other women heal from their childhood wounds and emotional abuse.
I want to help them unleash their voice and confidence by empowering them to step into the woman God is calling them to be.
I also have an organizing business where I help families unravel their dream life when they move so that they can focus on what’s truly important to them.
When our homes are organized, then we can show up fully be present and embody the life we desire
One of my all-time favorite quotes, that I love, that has actually completely changed how I carry myself and my confidence is:
“Walk into the room like God sent you there”
When you truly allow God to walk with you wherever you go, everything in your life will change.
You are of high value and bought with a price by King Jesus Christ.
What is your brand and what is its mission?
I’m a life coach and podcaster. I also run a few courses.
I help women become unleashed and be the person God created them to be.
For my services, I have several different coaching packages and courses to fit where you are in life as we are all at different places and need different things.
What made you start your business and how does someone find you (social media, email, etc.)?
I began my coaching business in March of 2022. I felt a calling in my life for a long time, and I fought God hard about it.
I struggled with feeling qualified; however, I surrendered my life to God at the beginning of 2022.
Around that same time, I came back from a faith and business retreat, and I knew it was time for me to jump in.
I was so excited and ready to unleash and help others.
You can currently find me on Instagram @schrock_leona.
I also have a podcast that I launched this past year Called Unchained and Untamed.
I would love to connect with you!
On my podcast, you get to hear more of my story, and I share tidbits and tools to help you transform your life.
How has your past led you to where you are today?
I grew up Amish, left the religion 12 years ago, and got divorced almost 4 years ago. My husband was emotionally abusive and was a high-functioning alcoholic. He also had an affair during the marriage.
I had to draw the line in the sand and said no more. My kids deserve better even if that is me raising them alone and that is what I have done.
It has definitely not been easy and a lot of inner healing had to happen.
A year after the divorce, my middle child, who was 16 at the time, got diagnosed with severe aplastic anemia and had to have a bone marrow transplant.
It was a life and death illness that was a year-long journey, and praise God she is now a healthy 18-year-old, who is full of sass and life.
Recently, I dug my family out of bankruptcy and lost my mom this past year very unexpectedly.
Walking through all of these trails definitely has been challenging, and the fire was intense; however, going through this has transformed my life and who I am today.
I now live a life I absolutely love and am so humbled by all that God has done for me in my life.
I finally have the ability to be present and have great relationships.
I love that we are always growing, learning, and becoming more Christ-like when we allow God to do his will in our lives.
What are the key takeaways you’ve learned since you started your healing journey?
In all of this, I have had a complete transformation in my relationship with God.
I healed my childhood wounds and traumas, and when that happened, everything in my life changed.
I dug deep and started doing the inner work that I needed, and started to see my confidence was unleashed. My voice became unraveled.
My whole family was then transformed because of the generational curses I broke.
I’m now getting to help other women and families experience transformation in their life, which is now allowing me to see this ripple effect in their lives.
I believe. what the enemy meant to destroy, God set me up to succeed and do greater work for his kingdom.
I know this is my God-given calling and purpose.
What advice or steps would you recommend for someone who may be on the same journey as you, or what service you are offering?
If I could go back and tell myself one thing, it would be that my relationship with God was such a hard struggle because of my childhood wounds.
I was subconsciously viewing God under the same lens as the same as those stories in my head. I felt alone, abandoned, and had to do it all.
If you are in the trenches of life currently, and you feel like there is no way out, I want you to know queen, that rock bottom is actually the perfect place to restart your life.
I give you permission to get raw and real with yourself with what is working and what isn’t and be willing to do whatever it takes to create that change.
You are going to put on your blinders and become unapologetic about your life.
By doing the work, you can have a complete transformation, and have your life of beauty and abundance richness flowing with the joy of the Lord you only thought was possible in prayer.
You are meant for more.
Chin up queens!
Leona
