Tell us about yourself (Who you are, what you do, and a favorite quote).
Hi I’m Jordan, I’m a photographer and I have owned my business, Jordan Harper Co for over 10 years now. I specialize in weddings, boudoir, and portraits of all stages of life!
My favorite quote is from my favorite book, I read this book more times than I can count growing up, and often times I’d read it in my darkest moments as a teenager, and by the end of reading it, I would always come out of it with a new perspective on whatever situation I was in, and this quote always rang true for me. It’s also a beautiful reminder of what the Lord does for us, in our darkest parts.
“A great ring of pure and endless light, dazzles the darkness in my heart.” – From the book “A Ring of Endless Light” by Madeleine L’Engle
What is your brand and what is your mission?
My photography brand offers a fine art film photography experience. My hope is that every person that comes in front of my camera, feels seen and loved for who they are in that moment. I hope to offer a luxury experience from start to finish, focusing on the details that make up the person.
What made you start your business and how does someone find you (social media, email, etc.)?
I come from a family of artists, it was honestly only natural that I find myself also in the art field. Growing up I was always the one with the camera, at that time a little canon point and shoot, but my family noticed, and for my 18th birthday I was gifted my first real camera. Since then I’ve never put it down per say haha
It’s taken me a long time to figure out where I want to fit in, in this huge industry, but the last 2 years I’ve never loved my job more. Finding your people in this industry is so important!

How has your past led you to where you are today?
I think in a lot of ways I fell into photography because of my love for community. When I had my little point and shoot, I carried it with me everywhere because I was obsessed with capturing my friends and making sure our memories would last forever through photos.
If I look back, I think that I connected photography to community, and for my personality that equates to heaven haha
Instead of only capturing my community with my camera, I now get to capture all of your communities & memories so they can last forever, and that’s a huge privilege & an honor each time.
What advice or steps would you recommended for someone who may be on the same journey as you, or what services you are offering?
My main advice for those who may be starting photography, is really dive into who you are as an individual brand. Figure out what you want out of your business (be specific), and make sure you stay humble along the way.
Be apart of the community & also create the community. The community will always reflect what is put into it.
